UMS Choral Union

The University Musical Society Choral Union is made up of volunteer adult singers ages 18 and up. This auditioned 175-voice choir is known for definitive performances of large-scale works for chorus and orchestra. Recent highlights include Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem with the Philadelphia Orchestra (conductor Yannick Nézet Seguin), Verdi’s Requiem with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (conductor Jader Bignamini), and Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky with the Ann Arbor Symphony. Christ Church Grosse Pointe

The Christ Church Choir is an Anglican liturgical choir made up of boys and girls ages 7-18 and paid professional singers from the metro-Detroit area. Boys and girls learn the basics of singing, reading music, and fundamental musical structure. The program provides children and families an experience of our world-class choir program in a fun group environment, while providing an opportunity to explore the choir’s role in our community.

The Christ Church Chorale is a community oratorio society made up of volunteer adult singers ages 16 and up and paid professional singers from the metro-Detroit area known for its performances of great choral/orchestral masterworks. Recent performances include Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Haydn’s The Seasons, and Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.
